A Festive Treat for Fall to Make With the Kids

There’s two flavors that signify the arrival of fall for me….pumpkin spice and candy corn!  I mean everything about these flavors scream fall….the colors, the aromas, the taste…..etc.

Every Friday night we have Family Movie Night where we pick out a fun movie that the kids will love, we get all snuggly in comfy jammies, we spread out in the playroom with pillows and blankets, pop some delicious popcorn and watch a movie in the dark….just like at the theater but cozier!

The kids get a total kick out of family movie night and Little Man looks forward to it all week long….it inadvertently turned into his weekly prize for being a good boy at school.  Hubs and I enjoy the hour and half of silence that we get and the movies are usually pretty cute too.

Last week we watched DreamWorks’ HOME and Little Man has been talking about it non-stop!  He keeps talking about how the alien helped find the mommy and that it’s his “favorite movie EVER”!

Yet, every movie we watch is his “favorite movie EVER”…oh the joys of being almost 6!

Anyway, we are HUGE popcorn fans in our house….even Little Miss Jellybean goes nuts over a big bowl of popcorn.

So popcorn is a MUST have for family movie night!  With Halloween right around the corner there’s candy corn EVERYWHERE so we decided to mix up the normal old kettle corn with a yummy Candy Corn Popcorn Recipe.

The BEST popcorn maker ever is this beauty from Hamilton Beech (this isn’t sponsored….just sharing my love of this popcorn maker)….anyway, it’ll pop up to 24 cups at a time and the base is actually a bowl!

What a cute idea - and your photos are beautiful. Pinning this - wondering if it would stay fresh long enough to mail to my daughter at college?

Thanks so much! I think as long as you send it priority mail and sealed in a ziploc bag you should be fine....I would suggest a freezer bag so it's more durable to changing temperatures.
