Rosé Sangria

It is that time of the year again when all I can think of are cookies, cakes and cookies and mulled wine by the cupfuls! But this year, I wanted to try out something new – a Rosé Sangria with a hint of spice.

Hi, I am Sarani and I am back this month with a Rosé Sangria which will be a perfect addition to the cocktail bar at your Holiday party. It is easy as breeze to make, delicious to the last drop and the ingredients couldn’t be any simpler.

Rosé Sangria

Ingredients for Rosé Sangria

  • A bottle Rosé wine
  • A bottle of sparkling water or club soda
  • Slices of 2 oranges
  • Couple of apples, chopped
  • Handful of cranberries
  • Handful of raspberries
  • Couple of cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp of maple syrup

How to make Rosé Sangria

There is no need to splurge on a bottle of expensive wine for making sangria – I usually use a cheap bottle of wine for my sangria and the 365 brand of wines from Wholefoods are just perfect. Letting the flavors infuse overnight works best, but if you are in a rush cannot make time for it, make it early in the day of your party, and crush your fruits ever so slightly to help the wine absorb the fruity flavors. I do not like adding sugar to my sangria and many a time will switch out the maple syrup with honey. But you can use sugar or honey or maple syrup to sweeten your Rosé Sangria. As for choosing fruits, you can use apples, peaches, pears, nectarines, cranberries, raspberries, orange slices, lemon wedges.

Rosé Sangria

I used apples and orange slices and cranberries and threw in some raspberries too, since I had some sitting in the fridge – I just loved how the reds and oranges made the Rosé Sangria look so festive.

Take a tall glass pitcher and add the chopped apple pieces, orange slices, fresh cranberries, raspberries, cinnamon stick and cinnamon powder. Pour in the Rosé wine, maple syrup and stir to mix. Let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight). The more time it sits, more the flavors of the fruits infuses and the more flavorful it becomes.

How to serve Rosé Sangria

Top it up with the sparkling water or club soda when you are ready to serve. Pour into glasses. To make it fancier, you can coat the rims of the glasses with cinnamon sugar. You can serve the Rosé Sangria chilled or at room temperature.

Secrets to Perfect Iced Coffee

With Little Man starting back to school this week it’s imperative that I get my morning cup of coffee….the only problem is….it’s still scorching hot around here and the last thing I want is to be drinking a hot coffee in this heat.  I mean, I’m totally addicted to my Keurig — seriously, if you don’t have one and you love coffee then you NEED one of these they are AMAZING–but during the summer months I like to mix it up a bit.  That’s why I love making iced coffee instead and over the years I’ve learned a few secrets to making the perfect cup of iced coffee. A delicious treat to celebrate National Coffee Day! #CoffeeBuzz

Oh yeah…it’s National Coffee Day!  Did you know that today was National Coffee Day?  What a fantastically FABULOUS day…I love my coffee…and these days even though it’s usually decaf due to little miss Jellybean’s arrival soon I still have to have my cup o’ joe every morning and sometimes a few throughout the day.  That’s why I was sooooooooo excited to partner with Staples to bring you some #CoffeeBuzz fun today.

First of all, what is National Coffee Day without a delicious coffee recipe?!

Well, I took my two favorite coffee flavors and melded them together to make the most delicious drink I think I’ve ever had!  I’m always a french vanilla girl…well, until fall arrives and then I’m a total pumpkin spice lady.  But then I was thinking….why not combine the flavors and meld my own delicious creation?

To make this recipe I used my new Keurig Pro (keep reading to find out how you can win 1 of 3 that I’m giving away throughout the day).  I have to say…if you don’t have a Keurig then you need one and I’m not saying that because I’m working with Staples to bring you one…I’ve used the Keurig brewers for years and absolutely LOVE them!  The convenience of being able to brew just one cup at the touch of a button is AWESOME!  The Keurig Pro is nice because it’s got a 90 oz water reservoir and a touch screen keypad that let’s me easily set a timer so it’s ready when I come downstairs in the morning…it also has an extra cup size to choose from.

Anyway, this French Vanilla Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe is so ridiculously simple….you’ll have all your friends believing that you’re a former barista!  So, ready for the recipe?

A delicious hot chocolate milk drink perfect for these cold winter days....it's delicious AND nutritious!
Author:
Recipe type: Drinks
Cuisine: American
Serves: 1
Ingredients
  • 8 oz. TruMoo Chocolate Milk (use Chocolate Marshmallow when it's in stock)
  • 4 Extra Large Marshmallows
  • 1 Chocolate Heart (I used Dove Chocolates)
  • 1 crushed Graham Cracker
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Heat you cup of TruMoo Chocolate Milk (I did 1 minute in the microwave)
  2. Place 4 large marshmallows on top....to toast them you can either use a kitchen torch (like what people use for making creme brulee) or, the way I do it, place the cup in the oven on broil for 1 minute...be careful that when you remove the cup it's not too hot...use an oven mitt. (Note: do not give a hot cup to a child!) After 1 minute my marshmallows were a nice golden brown but my cup had not heated up yet.
  3. Sprinkle with crushed graham cracker and cinnamon.
  4. Top with chocolate heart.
  5. Enjoy with a loved one!

I enjoyed this yummy treat with this adorable Little Man!

Now,  TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk is only available for a limited time– it’s their special Valentine flavor! But you can make this yummy drink by using TruMoo Chocolate or TruMoo Vanilla!  You can find TruMoo at Target, Walgreens, and select grocery stores.
