Gather Ingredients for Crock Pot Chicken and Dumplings with Biscuits

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients

The first step in making crockpot chicken and dumplings is to gather your ingredients. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 Rotisserie Chicken or 2lbs shredded chicken breasts
  • 1 bag frozen mixed veggies
  • 2 cans Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1 tablespoon of poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 can of Grands biscuits

Step 2: Add Ingredients to Crockpot

Once you have your ingredients ready, it’s time to add them to your crockpot. Start by adding the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, and the bag of frozen mixed veggies to the crockpot. Mix everything together, so the soup coats the vegetables and chicken evenly. Next, add the chicken broth, poultry seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together again, so the seasoning is distributed evenly throughout the mixture.

Step 3: Cook on Low Heat

After you’ve added all the ingredients to your crockpot, it’s time to set it and forget it! Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours, or until the vegetables are tender and the chicken is cooked through. Resist the temptation to lift the lid and check on the progress of your meal too often, as this will only prolong the cooking time.

Step 4: Add Biscuits

About 30 minutes before serving, remove the canned biscuit dough from the refrigerator and cut it into small pieces. Add the biscuit pieces to the crockpot, making sure they’re submerged in the liquid. Cover the crockpot and cook on high heat for 30 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through and have puffed up.

Step 5: Enjoy Your Delicious and Easy Meal

Your crockpot chicken and dumplings with biscuits are now ready to be served!

The result is a rich, comforting stew with tender chunks of chicken, flavorful vegetables, and fluffy biscuit dumplings. This easy dinner shortcut is perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends when you want a delicious meal without too much effort.

Using a crockpot to make chicken and dumplings is a time-saving and delicious shortcut.
