Spice Roasted Figs with Hazelnuts and Vanilla Ice Cream

A Delicious End of Summer Treat

Breyers is celebrating their 150th birthday, hooray!

Breyers was founded in 1866, in Philadelphia, by William A. Breyer. The creation of the ice cream came when he hand cranked his first galleon of ice cream, which featured fresh fruit and nuts. He then proceeded to sell the ice cream to his fellow neighbors. Since its creation, Breyers has been committed to the use of quality ingredients and it is that promise to their customers that has helped the Breyers Natural Vanilla become ranked America’s #1 Vanilla ice cream. Spice Roasted Figs with Hazelnuts and Vanilla All Breyers vanilla is real and from sustainably farmed, Rainforest Alliance Certified™ vanilla beans. You can’t top that, especially if you’re super conscious about how and where the ingredients of your favorite foods are coming from. To take it a step further, all of the milk & cream that goes into Breyers ice cream is sourced from cows that aren’t treated with artificial growth hormones*. What a great reason to make Breyers your ice cream brand of choice. Spice Roasted Figs To celebrate their 150th birthday, Breyers has decided to form a partnership with celebrity chef  Curtis Stone and his wife, actress Lindsay Price Stone. Their partnership has included 12 recipes, one for each month of the year, featuring the Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream. In creating these 12 recipes, Breyers along with Curtis & Lindsay have given families a way to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions all year around.  And what better celebration is there than the end of summer vacation and the excitement of what a new school year brings!  Well, for us parents anyway!!

This month’s special recipe from the Stones is this amazing Spice Roasted Figs with Hazelnuts and Vanilla Ice Cream recipe.  The spiced figs and hazelnuts take Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream from summer favorite to a truly decadent hint of fall dessert.  The best part….. it’s so easy to make!!  In fact, I was able to whip together this delicious recipe with my preschooler!
