Toasted Almond & Vanilla Arancini Recipe

A delicious dessert ready in no time!

As a kid I always got excited about family dessert nights!  It wasn’t every night that we got such a sweet treat but I could always count on Friday nights and special occasions to bring about family dessert night.  My brother and I would join my mom in the kitchen after dinner and we would bake some of the most scrumptious and decadent desserts….we got fancy at my house….peanut butter brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and on very special days crispy marshmallow treats! Hey, those were fancy desserts for a little kid.

The reason I loved family dessert nights, well besides all of the sweet treats, was the together time we got to experience.  Just spending time in the kitchen together creates a bonding experience that kids love!

That’s why I’ve continued the tradition of family dessert nights with my own kids. Except now we make super fancy sounding desserts like this Toasted Almond and Vanilla Arancini recipe!  It may sound fancy but it’s actually super simple to make!

One thing that’s been consistent since childhood is– we are a Breyers ice cream family– I mean it is the #1 vanilla ice cream in America!  I remember my grandma always had Breyer’s ice cream in her freezer and now I use it as my ice cream of choice as well. I love that Breyer’s is always committed to using the best ingredients.

The Breyers Natural Vanilla that I use for this arancini recipe is made with fresh cream, sugar, milk, and sustainably farmed vanilla beans.  And Breyer’s now sources their milk and cream from cows that have not been treated with artificial growth hormones*.
