For a majority of the population Fall is a glorious time of year where we all get to gain an hour of sleep…well, that is, unless you’re a parent of a baby or toddler.  If your Little One was waking up at 6am they are now waking up at 5am….no fun for Mom or Dad!  Not just an early wake up call but the time change can disrupt Little One’s sleeping patterns and throw their whole schedule off…I would know….Little Man…my amazing little sleeper who goes to bed at 8:30pm and wakes up at 8am (yeah, many of my friends are jealous….I got REALLY lucky!) has been waking up at odd hours throughout the night.

Alright, so how do you start the process of transitioning your toddler for Daylight Savings Time?

Did you know that a majority of babies wake because of the wet sensation they feel in the middle of the night?

Little Man has always worn Pampers Baby Dry diapers and I honestly believe that’s why he’s such a great little sleeper!  Pampers Baby Dry diapers offer up to 12 hours of overnight protection thanks to three layers of absorbency compared to just two with other brands and the “Ultra Absorb” core that holds 95% of overnight fillings….Little Man has a VERY FULL and saggy diaper by morning but he’s dry and happy throughout the night!

And to start the transition for Daylight Savings Time we had a little slumber party this past Saturday night!

We dressed up in our jammies– I got Little Man some SUPER cute NEW pjs thanks to Pampers and Children’s Place. We cuddled up on the couch and stayed up late having our own little slumber party watching cartoons!  Before we knew it bedtime had come and gone and Little Man was SUPER tired so off to bed he went….an hour after bedtime!  BUT, he still woke up at his normal wake up time….except now that time is an hour earlier thanks to the time change!!!  ARGH!!!!!

So, what to do? What to do??

Changing your Little One’s sleep pattern is a process and typically won’t happen over night.  So I’m going to  invite you to join in the Twitter Party tomorrow night with Pampers and The Sleep Lady, Kim West (and no it’s not the Kim West from Kanye and Kim…this lady is a TRUE expert!) she’s going to be sharing tips and tricks for easing the transition.
