I head straight to Dark Universe…no hesitation.
Here’s why: Universal Resort guests get early access to Super Nintendo World, so that area’s already packed before the park even opens. Most of the crowd will naturally drift into Isle of Berk since it’s the first land you hit. And then there’s a big chunk of Harry Potter fans that’ll be booking it to The Ministry of Magic.
But hardly anyone goes straight to Dark Universe, which makes it the perfect first stop. The wait times are super low, the vibes are spooky in the best way, and it feels like you’ve got the whole land to yourself.
🧠 1. Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
This is the headliner ride in Dark Universe and it’s intense in the best way. You’re thrown into a wild lab escape with Frankenstein’s monster, Dracula, and more. The effects are next-level and the story totally pulls you in. Part dark ride, part thrill ride, and 100% unforgettable.
🍴 2. Grab the Hunter’s Garlic Stake at Burning Blade Tavern
This dish is so on theme and surprisingly delicious. It’s a garlic-marinated pretzel with crispy herbs and a bold flavor…the perfect fuel for monster hunting.
🌫️ 3. Explore the Village of Darkmoor
Don’t rush through this land… take your time walking the misty paths, peeking into shadowy windows, and catching eerie soundscapes around every corner. You might even spot the Invisible Man, Igor, or another spooky monster roaming the village! It’s one of the most atmospheric areas in the entire park.
