So, I’m a little behind on my posting—shhhh, don’t tell anyone!
A few months ago I threw my sister in law a baby shower for my niece (yeah, the little angel is here and I’m not going to mention how old she is—let’s just say she’s no longer a newborn….).
Anyway, I wanted to share with you all the cuteness and pink overload that I had a blast with in putting together this shower.
First off, the food was over the top girly girl! I bought petite fours from Publix (the BEST grocery store bakery ever!), we had mini quiches, cream puffs, decadent German chocolate cookies, spinach artichoke dip, pinwheel sandwiches, etc…you get the gist and now I’m hungry!!! I’ll be sharing many of the recipes soon!
One thing I found that jazzes up any party quickly and cheaply is to hang balloons from the ceiling. Now, a special trick to getting them to hang and rock prettily is to add a coin before blowing it up. Just drop a penny in each balloon, blow it up, leave a nice curly string tail to hang, then tape them to the ceiling.
I found these adorable baby rubber duckies and thought they would be so cute in the punch bowl. Unfortunately I think the little ones drank too much punch behind Mommy Duck’s back!
