When I think back to the first year of Little Man and Miss Jellybean’s lives I can’t help but think about what a whirlwind it was and how it went by way too fast! It’s absolutely astonishing to me that Little Man just turned 5 and Miss Jellybean is just weeks away from being two.
So many people told me “enjoy it while you can, it flies by”….boy were they right!
And each year seems to go by faster! But I’ll always hold those memories close and remember how it felt to have my precious babies nuzzle into my chest for a nap, or the look on their faces when they would wake up and see me, or how sweetly they would coo and babble with excitement over new things.
It’s in those first years that you realize how amazing your little one is and you truly understand the term unconditional love.
My kids are my life! They may drive me crazy some days. They may cause many sleepless nights. They may cause my hair to turn grey from all of the worrying.
But they are amazing! They are the ones who light up my life when I’m feeling down. They’re the ones who ground me when I feel like the world is spinning. They are my whole heart…and I’m theirs.
I know that through the years they will inevitably get bigger and grow up but they will always be my babies and I will always be their mommy.
But growing up isn’t all sad….in fact, it’s so exciting and I wouldn’t change a bit of it! Earlier this month we took the trip of a lifetime that I will cherish forever…..
we took the kids to Disney World for a week and the memories we made as a family were priceless! It was hotter than I expected for November but it was still a blast!
