Okay, more of the little man’s room…. and no preaching this time- I PROMISE!Did you miss Boy’s Jungle Theme Bedroom Part 1? You’ll want to check it out!
To the left of his crib we have this Disney Corner going on. I keep the diaper pail here even though we rarely use it. I plan on adding some more stuff on the left wall—but as for now it’s just a blank area. Isn’t this Pooh totem pole adorable?!
I found the fabric at Hobby Lobby and my Mother-In-Law made it for me.
This was before I started my blog and started sewing and such on my own…plus we needed to keep her occupied with stuff to do during my pregnancy or else we were going to wind up with a TON of dresses- she was convinced he was going to be a girl.
So I bought all sorts of gender neutral stuff for her to sew for me so she would focus her energy elsewhere. I like that she changed up the pattern and sewed each character individually and then added velcro to make them attach to each other…so when the little man gets bigger he can take them apart and play with them.
Let me just say I LOVE this chair! It’s hard to tell in this picture but it’s a beautiful chocolate brown corduroy. It’s so soft and comfy. This was my one big purchase before the little man was born…. yeah, I’m sad to say it’s one of the only things I paid full price for….but I just HAD to have it… I did at least get 20% off with BRU coupon.
I found this super cute Pooh Bear on SUPER DUPER clearance at Hobby Lobby….. I got him for less than $6! He used to be a door stop but now that the little man is bigger and throws everything around I figured Pooh is safer up on a shelf.
I have another shelf to put up next to him….but I’m not sure what to put on it yet!
Flanking each side of the chair are these oversized stuffed animals that I found at Sam’s Club right after Christmas on clearance for $9 each. They are perfect for blocking the hole that the little man has been using to crawl back behind the chair.
My plan is to eventually refinish the round table next to the chair. It needs a lot of TLC….I figure it will be one of my first projects once I get our home put together.
The FAO monkey chair was a baby gift…. I’m really looking forward to snapping some pictures of him sitting in it reading a book once he’s older.
Okay, the last thing I’m going to show you is probably my FAVORITE piece in the whole room. My sister-in-law, the Little Man’s Aunt, painted this for him once we realized I wouldn’t be able to do the mural in his room like I wanted to. This is basically what the mural was going to look like, but on a much larger scale:
Do you see the UF Gator hidden in the tree?
If you missed Part 1 you can see it here.
