40 Days of Children’s Easter Books for Lent

A New Tradition of Teaching Children About Easter

So, the other day I was thinking about how we celebrate Christmas with reading TONS of Christmas books to Little Man every night leading up to the BIG day but we don’t really do much for Lent and Easter. So this year I’m starting a new tradition of reading one Easter book a day throughout Lent and teach Little Man about Easter. Now, we’re not super religious people here…..we don’t go to church regularly but we do believe in God and want to share that with our son. Hubs grew up Catholic, I grew up Baptist, and neither of us really like our denominations so we’re trying out different types of churches but in the meantime we’re teaching Little Man that he can have his own relationship with God and Jesus without being in a church….it’s just part of our everyday life.

So today I’m sharing with you the 40 books about Easter that I’ve found to share with Little Man….some are religious, some are fun, some are about Jesus, some are about the Easter Bunny….but ALL are about the importance of reading and spending time together as a family. Most of these books can be found at Amazon (affiliate links may be present) or your local library.

To make things a bit more festive I have all of these books wrapped up and placed in a BIG Easter basket….each night after dinner Little Man gets to go pick one out and open it up then we sit together and read the story as a family. Little Man gets excited about opening the book and what surprise is inside. It’s a fun tradition that I’ll be doing year after year!

Bye for now! Where I Shop- (1)
Thrive Market - It's like the Costco of organics...this is where I get all of my sugar, flour, baking supplies, kids snacks, etc.
Zaycon Foods- This is where I buy most of my meat products in bulk.  The quality is amazing and the prices just can't be beat!  I mean, $1.89 a pound for boneless all-natural chicken breasts!!  It is bulk but you can always split with a friend or make up a bunch of freezer meals like I do!
